NIGEL HOLLANDAn Auctioneer on a MissionNigel Holland is a retired Army Officer who is now a licensed auctioneer in several States. He has extensive experience in a wide range of auctions, but prefers to concentrate on Fundraising auctions, because of the clear benefits his team can bring to well-deserving causes. He has helped to raise several million dollars for charitable foundations. Nigel appreciates that an auction is not just to raise money. Often, it is also the "floor show" at an event. He always ensures that people not only bid high, but also have fun doing so! His aim is to raise as much money as possible for a cause while making people want to come back for the next event, to give more. His unique style is a combination of high energy and entertainment, which always keeps his audiences engaged and amused. The time which Nigel spends on stage as your auctioneer is only the visible tip of the iceberg. He is always willing to spend plenty of time advising and training auction committees and individual volunteers, so that their efforts can bring as much benefit as possible to their organizations. A successful auction is a team effort, and a great auction always has a strong, well-motivated, happy team behind the scenes. Previous Aid ExperienceBefore becoming a Fundraising Auctioneer, Nigel Holland already had considerable experience of helping those in need. This included building a Youth Center in a depressed area of Belfast; leading volunteer efforts to build children's adventure playgrounds and other facilities for charities in England, Scotland and Germany; and leading a team of 60 people to rebuild orphanages in Romania shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union. |
